Jen and I had some wonderful friends fly up from San Diego to hang out with us from the 17th to the 26th of June. Much love to Samantha and Paul. Unfortunately, they brought along with them some amazing mutant Southern California bacterial strain, and even my much-vaunted immune system was of no help to me. About midway through last week I started feeling a little under the weather, and on Thursday I got completely oppressed by this thing. I'm still sick, and going on antibiotics (and hopefully a big super-decongestant as well) this evening. I believe Paul is still sick, Sam a little bit, and Jen is just recovering as well, so that makes this bug four for four. Well done, plague. Well done.

Anyway, I haven't been on the bike since the 24th, and I'm starting to get pretty antsy about it, but in my weakened state I don't feel comfortable riding in Seattle traffic. The old Volvo is here for me, as terrible as that is, and despite the odd noises it makes when I start it up.

Here's to healing quickly and getting back on the road! It's been beautiful and warm here, and it's a shame to miss the sunny weather.
