Folks -
A kind reader sent me a message to inquire as to my well-being, as it's been a month since I posted and my last post involved an accident. Never fear, gentle reader, I'm here, I'm healthy, and I'm still riding plenty.
In brief, since the accident: A few minor mods. I've a set of dualstar heated grips on, powered by a marine 12v distribution panel. New tires, Continental RoadATTACK!, bought from Southwest Moto Tires and kindly installed by another Seattle-area rider I know from sport-touring.net. They are most excellent shoes, though I have heard they aren't great in the longevity department. Great stick in the wet, though, and with Seattle winter coming up that's key. Here's Kaylee with her front wheel off, held up by a very ghetto jack since we didn't have one that really fit:

I've still been commuting daily. In addition, I took the bike and my fiance down to Portland and back, along very much the same route I took for the previous Oregon trip. I wanted Jen to experience some twisties and see what she thought - and she had the time of her life. Without going into too much detail, I'll mention that she really, really enjoys the feel of a V-twin engine, and I suspect a single cylinder would be an even more enjoyable ride.

Finally - this weekend's project. Stay tuned.
